3 lines! I just finished a brief lecture with the editor! this old broad is just so sick of this New England snow, cold air, etc, etc, that I finally had to find a place to say HI. I'm curious about the "Intellectually or Artistically Gifted Seniors?" and I think some of them might even know me... Now that I retired, I just plain feel so lost!

I want to welcome you though I profess to being neither "intellectually or artistically" gifted. But I make a pretty good Gin & Tonic and Margarita as well (Strawberry blended for the distaff side).

I like to work with my hands - wood. It's a hobby. Don't drink often, but I make a nice spaghetti sauce that goes with red wine.

Hi Packrat welcome from London England...I have to admit to the same as my friend Jim above, and tell you that artistically gifted is not a phrase that I could dream of wearing as a mantle, although I'm sure there are a few here who are....., but mostly this forum is fun, we'll have plenty of that for you if you want to just throw off the troubles of the day..and have a few laughs..

Welcome aboard Packrat!

Packrat, welcome to the forum!

Now that I retired, I just plain feel so lost!

Yes, I'm still trying to find my way, after 3 years. I guess we all like to know what to expect in life, but when life has no surprises we're not comfortable there either.

Snow here in Southern Calif., a little over a foot since yesterday. Local ski resort reopened for the occasion, the nearby highways will be clogged with skiers and snowboarders from L.A.
