Yesterday, I had the opportunity to speak to the new "Office Assistant" on the telephone. Unfortunately, it was not a friendly call. I had been doing my laundry and when I came back upstairs after putting a load in the washer and two loads in the dryer...........the elevator scared me to death! Yes, again! It came to my floor and then slammed down about 3 times roughly! Then the door would not open. I pushed every button I could. Finally.......it opened. I already had my phone in my hand and had the office phone ringing, but managed to get out. I was shaking. It is so scary when this happens. They put a call in to the repair company and hopefully they will come today.
But the thing was..........I had to take it back downstairs again because my laundry was in the machines. So I took my kindle with me and figured I would read until everything was dry. Well, one of the guys who lives downstairs was down there and I ended up talking to him the whole time. Then he and I went to get on the elevator and it took a long time to get there and then the door opened in slow motion and only opened half way. He pushed it open but I told him to tell the people in the office since the office door was open and I could hear them talking. He did. Good to get another person mentioning it to them again.
He rode up to my floor with me so I felt better. He was not afraid at all. Men are like that I guess. Not afraid of anything. I am just not the dare devil type.
