Reflections of My Life

My friend drives a cab and he said he has seen them jump off someone onto the seat. The trouble is when they haven't eaten yet, they are so so tiny, you can barely see them.........and that is with good eyes. Watch some YouTube videos about them.

I paid about $2000. for my bed, recliner and chair since I moved here and I thought I was going to have to trash them. The bug guy says my apartment is not that bad, but we will see on Monday. I do not have any bites and have only seen one. So maybe it is not too bad here. I just want them gone. I am tired of being stressed over them.

They can be in hotels, movie theatres, seats on planes, any place with soft furniture.

Yes, they are everywhere. This has made me paranoid about them. In the elevator I do not touch the walls or lean against it, stand in the center. Check the washing machines and dryer in the laundry room. Clutter in your apartment is another spot they like. I have barely any and will be getting rid of as much as I can.

I have another busy day of bagging up most of my things. It is like I am moving. Lot of work but if it helps I will say it was worth the work.
 

So sorry you're going through this. I read somewhere that the problem of bedbugs is becoming more common these days.
A lady knew lived in a senior complex and went through this and it was very hard to get rid of.

Ii admire you taking control of your health and glad you're seeing improvement. Since I asked you about keto chow I get ads all the time on Facebook 😀 It looks delicious so I might order one day on a special.

Hope all gets straightened out ooon and you can be comfortable again!

Today, I will be packing up all my things in plastic garbage bags again. So tired. I am going to take Rabbit's cage all apart and put all new bedding and stuff in it. I have to take it downstairs tomorrow to the community room for the day. He will have to be locked in it but he does pretty good with that. He feels safe in his cage and that will be unknown territory to him.

I am doing the best I can do. It is not easy to do for me. I pray this will be the last time. Maybe with the guy down the hall out of the building I won't have them. Perhaps I got them when nobody else did because the elevator is directly across from my apartment and that guy would be at the elevator waiting for it. I still don't have any bites and only have seen one so far. Can't wait for it to be next week..........
 
I have worked all day on this. I can barely walk now but need to wash dishes. I will try to get up at 3 so I can continue on. You should see the paper with all the things I am supposed to do. I can't do them by myself. I still have my 2 closets to empty but have no place to put the things that is inside them. My apartment is very small. I think that must be why everyone throws their stuff away. I only had these bedbugs in the recliner and the bed (last time, not on the bed this time). Looking at the list now, even a man could not do all of these things.

I survived! I thank God for giving me good friends who are also my neighbors. My friend who I walk with in the morning, came here this morning and helped me empty the closets and stack the bags in the shower. Then she pulled Rabbit's cage while I carried Rabbit in the kitty carrier to the community room. Then she rabbit sat while I came back to my apartment for some bags of laundry.

There was another lady sitting there who was having her apartment done also. She is on the 3rd floor. One other person had his done also and he is on the 1st floor. Mine and the other apartment (that the tenant was evicted) were done also. That apartment had them really bad. So yes, it was a lot of work but if this gets rid of them I will be happy.

While we were there my other friend who lives on another floor called me on the phone and she was in the puzzle room. So she came where we were and stayed with us till it was time to come back upstairs. It was good to have someone to talk to and pass the time. I will be back shortly, making my 1st meal (and probably only meal) of the day.
 
If you can picture your home with nothing in your closet.....nothing in your dressers......all your clothing, shoes, personal possessions in white plastic garbage bags stacked on top of each other in your shower.............that is my apartment now! I cannot stand my apartment being out of order even for a day, let alone FOUR weeks! If I put everything back, I have to do this all over two weeks from now. Then two weeks again after that!!! I need the shower but as it stands right now it is not an option.

So I am working on this right now. Maybe after I clean Rabbit's cage this morning I will come up with an answer. My apartment is too small for me to pile them in a corner on the floor. Plus I need space to walk with the walker. My storage locker is full too. With the clothing I took out of the drawers. I am leaving them alone till this nightmare is over. I can weed through what I wear and don't wear and get rid of those. I have some bags with photos and papers. Do the same with them.

My kitchen is unusable for the moment but working on that as I write this. I am not putting everything away though since I have to do this two more times. Amazing what a teeny tiny bug can do to your life!

Wow! Seeing the pictures really puts your situation into perspective!!!! What a nightmare!!! Hugs to you (and Rabbit)!!!!!

OMG, How horribly stressful..... This would be terrible if you were able-bodied, much less having to live like this when you're disabled, and living in one room... :(:(

Thank you! He was not happy yesterday since he had to be locked in his cage downstairs. People stopped by and talked and everyone of course, loved seeing him. At one point, he showed his anger by stomping his back feet hard. When I let him out of the kitty carrier after we came home he ran around full of energy checking things out since they had moved my furniture to get to the baseboards.

I won't complain when this is over and IF they are REALLY gone. It has been horrible. Plus I felt embarrassed like I had done something wrong or didn't clean enough. But I have one of the cleanest apartments in the building. Funny thing the guy downstairs that had to be exterminated also is a neat freak and he travels a lot so is not home.

I am working on making this a tolerable situation today, but not going to push myself. I need to recuperate first. So Rabbit's cage first, then the kitchen.........then figure out the shower situation.

Yes! In fact, that is what I found and saved to my computer when I was looking for a place I could move to. The first one, the studio is almost like mine. The kitchen is exactly like mine. I only have 2 closets though. The apartments are really nice and none are exactly alike.

Today I took a walk around the block after I took my garbage to the dumpster. It is a nice day and we didn't do our walk this morning. I felt like I couldn't do it. My knees were burning from all the work I had done in the last four days. Once I was outside though, I felt good enough to walk around the block. Then I came home and placed an order through InstaCart.

I never take naps, but I did today. I fell asleep in the recliner while watching videos on the television. I did not do that laundry today. Just did not have the energy. Maybe tomorrow. It is difficult for me to get to the point of relaxing in a messy apartment. Everything out of order and in bags is not comfortable for me. I do practice the power of positive thinking in other areas of my life and today I am doing that for this situation also.

Telling myself, I can live messy for a month in order to have this ordeal over with. It doesn't make sense to put everything back and have to remove it all in two weeks and then two weeks more. I will figure out how to store the stuff outside of my shower. I do need my shower. I already felt better here last night and today. Not itchy at all. Best of all, they did not have to trash my furniture!
