I am okay. Sonny did not pick me up for my doctor's appointment today. I had to cancel and reschedule 15 minutes before the appointment. Tomorrow I am checking out the "Get There" transportation service for my new appointment. I used them once before. I need to get places on my own. Can't depend on anyone else. I needed that doctor appointment and I had to wait a month for it. Then she was sick last week. Now this. Have to wait till the 27th now. Then get an appointment with the therapist which I will have to wait for. I worry about all this time I am wasting waiting.

Do they have any services there like OCCK? They shuttle people to appointments for a minimal fee and to the hospital for free here. You call them when your done and they pick you up and take you home.

Those may be for NYC. Norwich is a small town even though it is Chenango County's county seat. There are a few different options for transportation to medical appointments. Plus United Health Care (UHC) would help me find one if needed. I have medicaid so the cost is paid by them or UHC. The one called "Get There" I have used once or twice and it was okay. I am calling them today to set up my doctor's appointment.

We do have a new taxi cab service but the trouble those is getting to appointments on time. As you can imagine one cab for the whole town is in demand. And they charge about $20 one way to wherever you are going. Even just a few blocks. Plus expecting a tip after that. I can't afford them.

There is only one grocery store within walking distance of downtown here, the Grand Union. Now they are closing in February. I do not go there anymore since I started getting groceries delivered. It is expensive but people with no transportation have been using it because they had no other choice. Now they have even less choice. I suppose they will have to learn to use the bus when it is up and working.

My packages from Amazon were finally delivered today! Just coffee, a coloring book, Zevia & Jeff's new jeans. Something must have been happening at Amazon to screw up so many deliveries. Well, I got them and that is all that matters (don't want to run out of coffee!!). Hopefully they don't mess up the mattress for my new bed. I know it was shipped already and from Ontario, Canada. So it is on the way!

When i was informed of a recent Amazon order being shipped they did say something about weather issues.
 
Regarding the picture I posted of the lavender coffee @MarciKS there is such a thing as lavender coffee. Ground or pods. Expensive. There is also lavender syrup for coffee or whatever you want to add it to. With sugar or sugar free. But there is also such a thing as lavender extract and I am buying it today. I think I would like to add it to the keto ice cream I make. I hope it is as good as it looks. By buying the extract I can add it to whatever I think of.

It has been snowing since I got up earlier. Constant. Probably not going anywhere unless my delivery gets here today. Both by Fed-X. They usually come regardless of the weather. I will see.

The thread about watches got me thinking about my old watches. I once sold 35 of them in my eBay store. I still have about a dozen left. I saved my favorite ones. I worked as a CNA (certified Nursing Assistant) so a watch was an essential part of that job. When I was married to my first husband he bought me a watch for Christmas or my birthday usually. Being retired now I don't ever wear one.

I tried to wear a bracelet and I couldn't wear it for very long. I just don't like anything on my wrist anymore. My hands are in water a lot or using the mouse for the computer and anything on my fingers or wrist is just in the way. I have a lot of jewelry and will occasionally wear a necklace. Earrings are all pierced and one of my holes has closed up. I am planning on getting it re-pierced in the near future because I do miss my earrings.
