Regular Treats Do You have some

Do you indulge in a regular treat of some kind for you personally?

It could be something on a daily, weekly or monthly basis...from treating yourself to a lunch or dinner at a fave restaurant every week or a spa break occasionally ...or maybe a glass of wine every night or tickets to a sports game a couple of times a year

It could be something very small from taking out a subscription to a favourite magazine to splurging several times a year on expensive holidays

What is your own treat to yourself..care to share? :D

Since I'm calorie-counting a good deal of the time when we aren't traveling, my food & drink treats at home are probably once a month. Some of them are:

Going into the local bakery for a bacon roll and a chocolate doughnut. :D

Stopping into the Thornton's chocolate shop right next to my bus stop in town.
Overnight trips to Glasgow for cinema or concert and eating out including trying whatever new beers and ales are at Wetherspoons.

I enjoy a trip into Glasgow by myself for clothes shopping and a nice lunch.

Travel, travel, travel.

A treat for me is to take a couple of hours off work and read one of my bucket list books. I use to occasionally reward myself by buying something that wasn't on my very strict diet, but I've stopped doing that because of the slippery slope risk.

I have a recipe for a chocolate/peanut butter square that has a hazelnut and pecan base and I make that about once every two or three months because we can't resist it's yumminess! It's really easy to make so I make a point of saving it for 'special' occasions only.

LOL josiah....you do like to live dangerously don't you..(just pulling your leg) :giggle:

Debby i do a similar thing although I don't make it myself...I go about 3 times a year and buy some slabs of Dark chocolate Tiffin which is made freshly at the Farm shop Bakery...it's luscious but verrrry naughty

My yoga practice is a wonderful treat for me. Helps my balance, strength and flexibility and just makes me feel so dang good! I attend three 1.5 hour classes per week and try to get at least one half hour the other days.

I love to visit the Athens Bakery in the Greek neighborhood of my city and have some Spanakopita (spinach pie) with their excellent coffee and yogurt, then sit in the sun in the park behind the main street and watch people play with their doggies.

Hey did you just come here to make us all feel guilty? Yummy treats vs. exercise? Hmmmm, which one will win out, which one do I LIKE as a treat?

That's one of the few things I miss about not living in the city the easy availability of Cosmopolitan foods and restaurants...

I keep a supply of Rusell Stover Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Truffle/Mint/Coconut/ packs. I will generally have two pieces and that satisfies my sweet tooth.

You can make spinach pie, holly, easy peasy. I usually do it myself. Not to brag too much, ha ha, but we have every ethnic neighborhood you can think of, have the pick of restaurants and shopping, but I'm not that big on it anymore, just prefer The Red Lantern, our little pub across the street for brunches and suppers.

The day isn't quite complete without a couple of scoops of Chocolate Ice Cream, with a tablespoon of Dark Chocolate Syrup over it, about an hour after Supper.

I know not everyone likes yoga but it works for me. I like chocolate and beer too (not necessarily together). Is that better?
