Religious Debate

Religion has been around for a long time. Perhaps religion was created and introduced by an advance intelligence designed to make humans subservient to God by faith.

I stopped believing by faith because faith is backed by emotions and have no substance with feelings.
 
I'm not sure what this thread is about. There have been a continuing number of religious threads. Maybe we should have a section that deals only with religious threads. There is a section that deals with pet issues.
 

For a debate to begin, there has to be some proposition put forward to argue for and against, otherwise you get a lot of waffle.

I'm not buying into any discussion that begins with "religion was created and introduced by an advance intelligence designed to make humans subservient to God by faith".
 
I think this could be a great thread for anyone to say whatever they think about religion and anyone else to answer with their thoughts. My view on organized religion is it is beneficial for some and I support them all the way. If someone finds a benefit I say stick with it. I do have a concern for those who push their faith onto others but at the same time, I admire their willingness to share their knowledge knowing they will be rejected by some.
For me organized religion has too many man-made rules and I prefer thinking in terms of Spirituality. I still like to hear about all religions and have studied quite a few and found truth and beauty in almost all
I am a nonpracticing Catholic but admire those who stay in the church to help with reforming it...
