I fell in love with Elvis when I was 12yrs old and I still Love him. I can listen to his songs all day.He was the Best.

Same here Sassy! Love his music especially the gospel songs with the Stamps Quartet. JD Sumner said that when they were in concert with him he always wanted them to come to his room afterwards and sing gospel with him. Love their "Sweet sweet spirit" rendition. I listen to his music everyday!

"And in the final moments of our interview, Norbert spoke about Elvis with a sense of awe I had never heard him express".

“It was so much fun recording with Elvis,” Norbert said. “We would count off the song, we would all start to play and, somehow, we all played it right.

“Elvis had a lot to do with that. He was the most focused singer I ever worked with, and it came through in his voice. He would start talking like a fullback before a football game. ‘Guys, we’re gonna get this. I’m gonna reach down and go for it. Are you with me?’ And we were all like, ‘Yeah! Let’s do it!’

“He was 35 years old when I started playing bass for him in 1970. He’d been a star for a long time. But during those 120 songs we recorded over seven years, he never once asked me to change a note. And out of all the times we asked him, ‘E, how about doing one more take? I think I can do better,’ he never once said, ‘I got my part right. Why didn’t you?’ He wasn’t like that. He knew the greatest work came from musicians who played from their soul and felt like they were part of a team".

“That was a music lesson.”
