Hi. I am from sunny South Africa and live in Brakpan, a small town near Johannesburg and Pretoria.

I am a retired estate agent/local government administrator and principal of an estate agency. Got tired of selling property, decided to retire and gave the business to my son!

Now enjoying fairly good health (accompanied by all the usual aches & pains), but what the heck, I still enjoy life and my hobby of woodworking.

I made this little coffee table from Rhodesian teak floor blocks that I uplifted from my house.
 
Hi James welcome to the this friendly forum. I like the picture of your coffee table. My late father also enjoying woodworking,he made chairs,tables,bookcases for me,my sister&brother,other family members. In my apt,I have a couple tables,TV console,bookcase. Sue in Buffalo,NY

Thanks for your kind words!

Some more things I also do...

My two children, both grown-ups today, built a very lovely little flat for us (wife & me) in the son's back yard. My wife and my daughter-in-law has now started a little business buying old furniture from auctions and private ads. If necessary, I refurbish it and then they advertise it on local Facebook groups for sale. We are now making a good income from this... it pays our groceries etc.

Some of these I disassemble completely and rebuild it from scratch.
