Retirement for me is a time of reflection and growth

This is a special time for me reflect and sort through a vast accumulation of excess childhood baggage that shaped my life until now. As you may recall from my previous posts I had a lot of questions and doubts surrounding religion and Christianity. Thank you for your patients and support while processing these things that challenged and shaped the person I am today.

Tried to change title, waited too long. OP was boring, decided to liven things up...enjoy!

Me too - but not religion and spirituality. The most important lesson of my life is that the most important thing is tomorrow. I've done things, some I regret, some I want to tell everyone about, some I'm proud of, some not. It took retirement before I truly thought about such things, and why I am the way I am. I found some terrible things, some good things. But Gods aren't really a part of it.

This definitely is a great time for reflection. I've learned so much more about life and myself since I'm not so busy working like I did in the past. I'm more appreciative about even the small things now. Maybe this is when we get our 'Wisdom' people talk about...lol.

If only tomorrow didn't come around so fast!

I agree

Somethings I wish I had accomplished when I was young but did not think of until it was too late.
