I feel ya Sunkist! See my reply #14. My mother, husband and son used to tell me I was busier in retirement than when I was working. I became "chauffeur", baby sitter, caretaker and more of a helpmate. After my car was totaled, at least chauffeuring people around stopped. Eventually the other things did as well.I'm more exhausted and stressed out in retirement than when I was working..
āSometimes itās hard to tell if retirement is a reward for a lifetime of hard work or punishment.ā ā Terri GuillemetsSo I'm one of those guys that doesn't really see retirement in his future. I'm not sure I can really imagine a time where I won't be working. Besides, I love my career (I'm a clinical counsellor).
Anyone else ever faced this? How did you adjust?
