Yes, Good point. We were speaking of "revenge".Don't we all have a responsibility to each other? Surely by dismissing bad behaviour and letting karma takes its course (hopefully), we are not doing the criminal any favours? This is why bad behaviour in children needs to be dealt with immediately; they need to be taught right from wrong, otherwise they will move on to more serious crime.
You are speaking now of teaching right from wrong. This is a different subject.
If you speak of the behavior of children, one with the knowledge that what the child is doing will cause harm,
Yes, You must tell him in a spirit of help, of love, of kindness and of love. If this is not given, the parents
(or adult) has not done his duty in the development of the child.
"Dealt with" should be teaching right from wrong without doing harm. I'm not advocating freedom to do as
the child wishes here. It's the parent's responsibility to advise and teach; show right action, stopping the child.
Let's say you lost your temper and beat a child every time he did incorrectly. Action and reaction are equal.
The child feels discord, cruelty, hatred. Multiply this disharmony. If everyone angered and beat their child,
(and the child feels this so much more than the adult) this influence of suffering and hate would affect the
entire world. (which it already has).
On the forum threads where people talk about their childhood, most, I'd say, have horrible stories of beatings,
and surroundings of hate, which stays with the person even into old age. All this goes into the atmosphere
and affects everything in the entire world!
