RIP Tony Bennett... Flying High & Playing With the Stars

Although I don't have any music by him in my collection, I enjoyed watching him perform on T.V. over the years. I was saddened when I saw the news on GMA today. He's one of the musical icons I thought of as living to a hundred and beyond. He had a remarkable career and will be missed tremendously. I love that he teamed up with younger singers and made hits with them too. May he rest peacefully in paradise. 😢
 

I can't stand Tony Bennett. A woman I once dated bought me an Album of his songs and I couldn't get through it.

He didn't even have personality.

I don't dance on his grave but I certainly won't miss his mediocre stage presence and selection of forgettable music.
 
Not dancing on his grave either but .... I never was a huge fan either. He was IMO sort of a what three ? hit wonder. After hearing of his death I purposely brought up his songs on-line. and spent about an hour or so trying to find others I might like .... No luck.

Considering his number one hit ... I was surprised to learn he lived and died in N/Y !
 

My memories of Tony Bennett were of my mother going around the house warbling “Fly Me To The Moon” in a voice not nearly as good as she thought that it was. Her unsolicited violin playing was painful to hear, too… 😫
