Video speaks for itself and is not until it's over.

The pedestrian although trying to do a good thing put himself in harms way. But then again aren't pedestrians supposed to have the right of way.

Just a brief comment - No, pedestrians do NOT have the right of way, contrary to what a lot of people assume. I don't know how that rumor got started but a little research will show it's not true. It's one reason there are Jay walking laws.

The bus driver is lucky to be alive. He probably wasn't aware that the woman's actions were being recorded along with her license plate and car. Everyday some tragedy is in the news I wonder if there is a study about why there is so much anger and hostility now.

I get the jay walking laws. But in this incident the civilian was hit in the pedestrian crossing at an intersection.

An update has the driver getting charged with assault with a deadly weapon-the car.

I mistakenly left out the word always. I'm surprised at the number of people who think it's okay for pedestrians to run into the street anywhere, anytime, and traffic is supposed to stop. Even in a crosswalk or when the traffic signal says "Walk" pedestrians should look in all directions and be cautious.

Seems odd that here, you seem to want to adhere strictly to the law. Leaving no room for opinion after viewing the video. Yet in the Florida case you questioned the SYG law upon YOUR viewing & opinion of the video.

No idea what your point is, nor do I care. I didn't look at the video in this thread. I don't have to explain and justify myself to YOU.

Since you're still burning about the Florida/Drejka case, and want to drag it to this thread, you might want to send Drejka some money to help pay his bail - Judge recently declined to lower it. Try googling.

The older man with the blue shirt was the bus driver attempting to keep the woman from leaving the scene, I didn't see another person get hit.

The whole thing seems very strange. In this area, the bus driver would most likely radio the license plate number and other information to his dispatcher and request a patrol car without leaving his seat on the bus or compromising his safety.

What on earth made her go that crazy, smashing the window with a bat and a tire iron? (she's in D.C., no cash bail territory. ) Maybe he was avoiding her crawling into the window with her bat or whatever it was. He did call for help outside the bus.

I think this video went viral. The Lord only knows why people do what they do.

After viewing the vid a second time she went through a red light when she ran the guy down. She should get a ticket for that as well.

I think, just from viewing her behavior, that the women is nuts. Either she has some serious mental problems or she was high as a kite on something. Obviously, she needed to be arrested.

The bus driver was being very rash and foolish with his own life. He's lucky to be alive.
