thank you lilac that brought out the cynically humourist in me and I must admit I did chuckle - Hmm but nah no god fearing woman would play such a trick - unless he was in cahoots with it all??
 
Congratulations Robert De Niro on your new little girl. May you two bring each other plenty of joy and let the chips fall where they land.

I don't know if Deniro and the mother are living together, but If they are he only lives a few years his child will have more of a father experience than a lot of children get these days when they're born to single mothers.

Single mothers sure have a lot of work bringing up children by themselves. Don't despair! There is hope! These days we are seeing more and more of the 2 "daddies" or the 2 "mommies" households bringing up the little tykes. Isn't it WONDERFUL?

It is if you make it your business, but even if you try to make it your business, it still isn't your business. Yes, being celebrities, they're in the public eye. People could choose to ignore what celebrities do or don't do if they wanted to, but they just can't. They're drawn like moths to a flame and can't wait to stand in judgment, to criticize them, and to pick them apart.
 
if you rely up the public to make you a star then sometimes they won't let you turn your back on them - only death stops all the attention - it comes with the territory?

I don't know, my theory is we are hard-wired to gossip, going back tens or hundreds of thousands of years (see article below). It was how we bonded, and learned what others were doing. One way we find common ground with people is gossip.

In today's global society the only way people like you and I can find folks to gossip about is to talk about some kind of celebrity. You and I know no one in common other than celebrities or others on SF. Celebrities can include actors, sports people, politicians etc.

So I believe we shouldn't try to resist gossip so much as avoid malicious or harmful gossip. I doubt anything said here about De Niro will hurt his feelings much. Same goes for the Royals and other celebs we talk about here.

You'd think so, but I see no mention of her. De Niro had prostate cancer. That does not always make having children impossible, but often a whole lot harder. Some kind of medical intervention was likely necessary. Probably not your average conception process... Not sure I want the details...

I lost respect for DiNero when he used the F-word at the Oscars. That is not the kind of language and attitude I want brought into my home. I don't care how talented some entertainer is.
