Rosalyn Carter has passed away in hospice

I think it was yesterday or the day before I heard she entered Hospice. She must have been very ill to pass so quickly after entering hospice. My Mom lasted 3 months after she entered. RIP Rosilyn.
Maybe, but diagnosis was dementia. And it was home hospice with her beloved husband, who was also getting home hospice care.

Rosalyn and Jimmy were such humble, sincere people when he was in office and have continued to remain so for many years after. Even when they are gone, they will have created a legacy that will live on due to their philanthropy. RIP Rosalyn. ❤️

The only bad apple in the Carter clan was brother Billy. But then again, many of us can relate to having an embarrassment in the family! The Carters were a class act, even if he was perceived as a weak president. There’s a little bit of Plains, Georgia in all of us from small towns… 🙂

Years ago, I was in Plains, Ga. I just happened to miss seeing him at the store. Everybody told me to go to his home, knock on his door, and meet him. They all said he loved meeting people. His house was nice, but no mansion- no gates, fences guard posts, etc. I just couldn't knock on the President's front door, so I didn't.
But the openness of the Carters super impressed me. How many ex-Presidents are going to open their front door to say 'Hi'? Both Carters are icons of selflessness and giving.

Rosalyn Carter, former first lady and longtime spouse of President Jimmy Carter has passed away in hospice. She was 96.

Former first lady Rosalynn Carter, wife of the 39th president and advocate for mental health care, dies at 96

Say what you want about Carter's Presidency but they were probably best and classiest first couple out of office ever. They were devoted to each other and very philothranpic being big advocates for organizations like Habitat for Humanity.

RIP
Very sad, she and President Carter were wonderful people and humanitarians. They have both given so much. He was an example of the fine type of person who a president should be.

R.I.P. Former First Lady. You and your husband showed class, and the love of our country, after losing the election with grace and dignity, ackowledging the will of the American people and offering a hand of friendship to your successor, for a peaceful transfer of power. You were humble and honest, instead of arrogant and deceitful. We need more Presidents like you and less like another that followed.
