I loved it the first time around. But most times the remakes fall flat, I shall see. Curious which Becky will be on.

Anyone else going to tune in?

Tried watching back when the show was on before and didn't like it at all - I never watched an entire show. Never found it funny.

I was surprised the old show was such a success for so many years, and I'm surprised that it's being rebooted.
Different strokes, I guess.

I cannot stand Roseanne's voice even on interviews - and her laugh on those recent promos makes me want to cover my ears.

I don't care for her either and she can be pretty crude but I watched the show the first time around and found it funny. I'll give it a try this time around. Who knows maybe it will be good.

I liked Roseanne Barr when she was an unknown standup comedienne, was funny. Her tag line was 'domestic goddess' was married to her 1st husband
After she got her own show,it all went to her head divorced her husband, married fellow comic,Tom Arnold that marriage didn't last long
I have no desire to watch this 'revival',but I do like John Goodman, very talented actor who can do comedy&drama and make it look easy. Sue

I liked the Rosanne show in its early years. It wasn't about the perfect family.....it was about a normal family with all its warts and blemishes, the kind we can relate to.

Then it morphed. I felt that the characters got mean-spirited and I didn't like them any more.

I'll check the new show out.

I did watch the old show when it was on, but don't plan to watch the remake. I'm another who doesn't like Roseanne, her personality or her voice. :p

Never liked the show during the first run, so no. Find her pretty annoying. But I know the show was popular in its time.

But what is with all the series reboots? First Will & Grace now this. Does no one have any new ideas?

I'll be skipping this although I do like John Goodman and Laurie Metcalf.

I agree about most series reboots but I did enjoy the Twin Peaks revival this past summer and I didn't think the latest season of X-Files was too bad except for the mythology episodes.

I watched and I thought that it was sort of forced/contrived.

The thing that really struck me was how old and ill Roseanne, John Goodman and Laurie Metcalf looked!

Note to self, don't appear on television and stay away from mirrors.

I didn't watch it because I feel the same way AZ Jim feels (I saw roseanne doing that too Jim).

I watched another new sitcom instead, "Splitting Up Together" starring Jenna Fischer who starred in The Office. I had high hopes for something clever because I liked The Office...but, no, it was awful. They had some very uncomfortable humor in it too that wasn't funny regarding her 13 year old son and the "mastur..." word...don't make me say it .

New Will & Grace writers are even worse with a mixed gay/straight threesome they took into the bdrm. The writers are obsessed with it. I think the sitcom was quickly ended.

Must these new sitcom writers resort to this type of humor when school kids are watching to get laughs? I wasn't laughing. Maybe I'm lacking a sense of humor at my age?

On the Upside I watched Penelope Keith's "Hidden Villages" last night on the Explorer channel that was delightful!!

I was curious to see how last night's episode did in the ratings,a whopping 18.2 million watched. The competition on other networks was:
NBC-The Voice
CBS-NCIS
Fox-Lethal Weapon
I doubt it will be that high next week Sue

ABC has renewed the show for a 2nd season all because the 1st episode did well in the ratings. Sue
