Royal Caribbean announces 'world cruise of world cruises' scheduled to visit 150 destinations

Let's hope everyone is fully vaccinated and carrying a vaccination passport and the cruise line has made arrangements with various countries to take in the sick, or you're on your own. You have no recourse legally while on a cruise ship!

Those who spent millions to live onboard the luxury ship The World might disagree. LOL There was a joke going around via emails for several years about an old woman who decided that living aboard a cruise ship was better than going to a nursing home. She had all her needs, including medical attended to. I don't doubt that there's some who are living that lifestyle (not counting The World residents). I've fantasized about such a lifestyle and I would love to cruise again but I'm sure I'd be quite homesick if I took that Royal Caribbean cruise. I'd be interested to see how many passengers Royal Caribbean gets for that cruise. Check out The World: https://aboardtheworld.com/residences/

Outside of the disease element - these cruise ships are like petri dishes for every infectious disease under the sun, including Covid, I can't imagine anything less interesting or enjoyable. It sounds like an average of 1 1/2 days in each location. What could you possibly see in that amount of time, aside from a lot of gift shops right at each port?

I think I'd be longing to come home after a few weeks of that!

150 destinations aboard a luxury liner? I think about the 33rd destination, when you embark with the thousands of other tourists to some gorgeous setting that overruns with tourists, tour guides, tour limos, and touristy restaurants, and you only have 112 more such destinations to go. Besides needing a wad of money, I believe you need a unique personality to go all 274 days.

The longest cruise we were on was 32 days. We enjoyed it thoroughly, but would never go that long again. Our limit now is 15 days to Hawaii and back.

After going on a cruise for 10 days with island-hopping a few times in between, that was more than I could take.
Just can't imagine 274 days of it!

And just what is the cost of this 'adventure'?
