Rest in peace for that fallen officer, my sympathy to his family, this should never have happened. I am against any senseless killings, either of citizens by police officers or police officers by civilians.
I agree with Carla, and have said it here many times, the majority of the police force are good men and women doing the jobs they are paid to do and are passionate about protecting and serving the public.
The small percentage of bad cops have come into the limelight lately thanks to video exposure, and those corrupt officers leave a grey cloud over the entire force, all the families of those whose lives they took senselessly, are still mourning their losses. Many reputable officers who have served for many years, want to put a stop to the actions of those bad cops who abuse their power. We're getting there, slowly but surely. Denying that there was a problem is not an option anymore.
