Santa does exist, don't you think?

Santa does exist because Santa is not a physical being, but the embodiment of love, generosity, tenderness, caring, compassion with a touch of whimsy thrown in.
These qualities exist within all of our hearts. So as long as we exist Santa exists. :love_heart:

Ho.Ho.Ho...yes..I agree with you both. Santa is a very "jolly", "Merry" symbol of the holidays.

No question about it in my mind!! :D

If he's not a physical being, then why do I see him in parades, department stores and all over the TV? Is he some kind of time-warping, reality-bending metaphysical being, playing with our heads?

Now I'm worried ... :distrust:

NEWS FLASH

I like the way you think, Chic. I never really thought of him that way, but yes, I agree with you. As a symbol of joy and childhood delight, he certainly does. Too bad there are those out there trying to destroy him as an enemy of Jesus.
Well, sorry. He's a lot more entertaining and relevant and just as plausible. Give me a happy kid over an awe struck shepherd any time.
Go Santa! :christmas1:

I never believed in Santa, he was some freaky fellow in the mall with tobacco breath. Mom had the presents in her closet. Pose for the picture, eh whatever.

I always enjoyed visiting department store Santa - I'd sit on his lap and practice my reverse elbow strikes into his belly until he went "HO-HO-HO!" :devilish:

Of course he exists!
Didn't he visit us in Grandfather's and Grandmother's upstairs apartment, when I was a little girl!
Because he was the real Santa, he did not wear the silly red suit, but a proper Lodenmantel (coat), a Zipfelmuetze (a pointy hat) and held a "Rute" in his hands! (a bundle of twigs).
He asked in German, waving the Rute around:
"Have you been a good little girl"? (The Rute was for the naughty children!)
So you see, I've met the REAL Santa, even if he was not wearing a bright, red suit!!!

Something I remember is the Easter Bunny. Weird I was such a cynic about Santa, but the Easter Bunny maybe...But our Bunny brought toys and books. My teeth were fragile so it was better than candy. One year there was a convention in Chicago...over Easter...how would the bunny know where I was???? Panic...Somehow my parents got baskets and goodies snuck in their luggage and the Easter Bunny came to the hotel room. I'll always remember that.

We always had big, beautiful fireplaces, as my relatives were stone Mason's. I never worried about Santa coming because of the fireplaces. One year, my step father decided to have a roaring fire in our fireplace. Well, I darn near had a heart attack when I saw this. I remember crying my eyes out , because Santa couldn't come down a fireplace with a fire in it.
I think mom calmed me down and said if I would go to bed, they would let the fire go out so Santa could visit.

Our neighborhood Easter bunny was always a tragic, scary thing ...

I agree completely Chic,
Santa is as real as Christ.
Concepts are eternal, and Santa has had more than one physical incarnation too, whether as St.Nicholas or Kris Kringle.
I'm still holding out for a trip on that sliegh one day.

"Santa Claus" is the product of the American advertising industry. Nothing more. The Coca-Cola company have a great deal to answer for in the invention of this myth.
