hey Marcia... welcome to the forum. Come in and tell us the story of what's happening to youI'm going 3 days a week but will be limited on the money I can make. I'm a nervous wreck!
It's like putting a hand over your eyes and jumping off a high dive at the pool and hoping for the best. LOL!I guess you're working only 3 days a week now, right?
hahaha1 So many times I've jumped off the cliff, metaphorically speaking, not knowing WHAT would happen to me and everytime,I landed on a soft cloud! When my husband died, I couldn't even talk to people without knowing if I would burst into tears, so i just quit! No plans, Didn't know if I could survive or not. Just do it! You will always survive one way or another. Don't be afraid! Take risks! Take the leap! Shake up your life!
Find out what you're really made of!
Well, that's pretty odd for around here.Speaking of which is why I'm scared to take the leap! Walmart doesn't work with you on hours. If I sign an availability saying I can only get so many hours they'll cut me down to nothing. It's what they do. Not all of them probably but the one where my store manager is. I was hoping she'd go away before then but it looks like she's going to be there long after I take the leap unfortunately! So when I retire and plan on going part-time I have to figure into my bills actually having no money in case Walmart retaliates and gives me no hours!
Ah, I musta missed that partWell that's true with the new employees they're hiring at Walmart now but I'm an old time employee I've been there almost 18 years.
Sounds like you having the same thing as we have up this way. Locally, chain stores up this way have several full timers, the rest get 20 to 30 hours per week.Well, that's pretty odd for around here.
The grocery and dept stores here usually give their employees less than 40 hrs/wk
This gives them the ability to not have to pay benefits like insurance and vacation
Most everybody in our area get like 20 hrs/wk
Full time folks are very rare
