Scotland

When i hear Scotland i think of my Ancestry,
and i think of my trip last yeAr to Edinburgh, and what a beautiful City and lovely friendly people.

I think of william wallace:

'This is the truth I tell you:
of all things freedom’s most fine.
Never submit to live, my son,
in the bonds of slavery entwined.’

William Wallace - His Uncle’s proverb,
from Bower’s Scotichronicon c.1440’s

"Tharrr's a moose loose in the hoose"...is what I think of ever since I met a friend from Scotland and asked him to say something in Scots. That's what he said & I'm still laughing after almost 20 years! I also think of the beautiful videos they treated me to after their most recent trip back.

bagpipes, tartan kilts, ginger hair, accent I'm afraid I have to listen to carefully sometimes, the Scottish Regiments who have stood side by side with their English mates through countless wars and conflicts. God bless em all xx

Is that Stirling castle eh? my mum was a Scot and I married a Scot, in fact my son is at Uni in Glasgow.................but we all make mistakes?.

No it's not Stirling castle....

Not sure to what you refer when you say ''we all make mistakes', but Scottish education is one if not THE best in the world which is why so many people from the 4 corners of the world send their children to be educated at our top universities and schools like your son I presume.

Dining with a steel mill manager in Glasgow. After dinner we sat in the lounge in front of a roaring fire and he ordered a bottle of single malt whiskey. When it came he took the cork out of the bottle, said, "Now, Laddie, I'll show ye how we drink whiskey in Scotland," and threw the cork in the fire.
