My neighbor has had kids outside her house doing damage to her property. Her husband saw the kids one time and chased them down the street but couldn't catch them. Just last night they kicked and dented his front door. Does anyone have a spy camera to recommend that even tapes what happens so you can show the police?

I've got a pair of these stuck in the tree's near the house. Work fine, take video's, or still shots, or both and won't break your bank account..
One thing though... get re-chargable AA batteries because it takes 8 of the little devils.

You can get a wireless security camera that comes with a small screen monitor and 4 cameras. Some of that type include a hard drive for storing 24 hours or more of what the cameras have seen. These can cost about $300 to $400 bucks. The ain't the best in high definition or resolution, but they are good enough for home security. Amazon and others have them. Search for wireless home security cameras.

What you have to watch for is whether you want one that operates with wi-fi or a signal from the cameras themselves to the monitor. I have the latter type.

I also have a burglar alarm system that will tell me if any door or window is being opened.

I think such things are an absolute necessity these days. We sleep much more peacefully knowing that some predator won't be waking us up at night with a gun pointing in our face.

Oh, I've had original paintings, antiques, wonderful books, even bronze sculptures stolen from my gallery.
I've been too cheap in the past to invest in these cameras, but I guess I better think about it.
There is only one law enforcement officer in the area though, and I doubt he would have time to
follow up a theft.
It's not that I'm not alert. They come in groups and one of them involves me in a conversation
or pulls me outside while the others swiftly grab things.
Also, I'm pretty close to El Paso, and with the migrants flooding over the border . . . .

We have Ring cameras front and back as well three more inside the house. These work great and are not that expensive. They monitor and record EVERYTHING in high definition color with sound. We can talk back to whoever is bothering us outside, usually coyotes wandering onto our back patio.
