The cost of going out on a Saturday night just keeps going up and up.
For seven visitors to Santa Cruz, California, the bill came to $7,000 in fines for violating local shelter-in-place, or SIP, guidelines.
They “came from Fremont to get some ‘essential’ drinks,” Police Chief Andrew Mills tweeted. “If you are not from Santa Cruz and you put our community at risk, you will get a ticket. #shelterinyourowntown.”
The department tweeted, “7 x $1000 = One Expensive Hang Out. Everyone should know by now that this is not the time to meetup and party.”
The drive from Fremont to Santa Cruz is nearly 50 miles.

This weekend NSW police issued 70 infringement notices @$1,000 each. Some people don't think the law applies to them and several offenders had been warned more than once before.

One group gathered together to do burnouts and race their vehicles in parkland and had three very young children with them. If the adults decide to dice with their health that is one thing but the kids had no choice in the matter. Neither did any people not present who may yet get the virus from these idiots.

In Ohio - we had protestors against the Governor's actions - funny thing, they all had 'masks' hiding their faces - like halloween masks - and at least one guy came heavily armed (don't know if the side-arm and uzi ? were real, but looked that way). I do not suffer fools gladly. If it were up to me ..... (feel free to fill in the blank, because I'm trying to get to a calm place!)
