Five people, including a young child, were killed in a mass shooting in southwest England on Thursday, authorities said.


The shooter, who was also killed, kicked in the door of a home then gunned down a woman and her young daughter before randomly opening fire on other people in the streets of Plymouth, reports and officials said.'

I love Plymouth, it is a very nice city, some areas are not so nice,
but generally it is OK.

Guns in the wrong hands always cause grief.

I know the area....my DD's godparents live in that area....we also lived in Plymouth when my daughter was small and we were in forces quarters near the Tamar bridge .. we lived in many places but Plymouth was my favourite for the friendliest people.. although it was the only place of all the cities we lived where we we were burgled ( .. however I digress....

This guy was a loser.. he'd had a shotgun which had been removed from him, and the police handed it back a month ago despite knowing he had mental health issues....he shot his mother... , then he went into the street and shot a guy with his toddler daughter, random strangers.. and killed them.. then shot a dog walker.. then a 66 year old woman in front of a hair salon...

It's routine. Today, there was gun violence at a middle school in Albuquerque, NM. It was just the third day of the new school year. I guess kids are taught how to use guns when they are 4 or 5, so by middle school they're pretty comfortable.

I was thinking terrorism before I found/saw some more detailed stories. There were early reports of semi automatic which are banned in the UK I think. Instead a wack job wanted to terrorize his perceived demons.
