It's a dumb rule since pot has been decriminalized in many states and should be completely legalized at the federal level. On the other hand, she knew the rules and she knew what she was doing. Guess it wasn't that important to her to be able to compete in the Olympics. I mean, how difficult is it to just not smoke pot until the games are over?

It is said that cannabis provides some form of athletic enhancement. This is very difficult for me to believe. Sad that she was suspended but she admits to having been aware of the rules. I wish she had gone to a doctor for a legal medicine.
The one bit of good news is that she will still have time to qualify for the relays. Hopefully she will see her then.

My words to her would be... get your priorities straight and make up your mind as to what you want in life.
