I was planning to go out to the movies today, to see that Brazilian film, I'm Still Here, that won the 2025 Oscar for best international. When the time came to get off my ass, I just did not. want. to. leave. my warm familiar apartment. I thought about what I'd do for the rest to the day if I stayed home--basically the same old shit I do every day--and then decided to post on SF. I immediately felt fine about being home!

Here is a good "come back " for somebody who remarks about your shaking.....I am Micheal J Fox's Mother. That sort of shuts up most people, and in any case....Who cares ??

About your level of education.....I quit high school at age 16. Over more than 50 years of working, I have started three different business enterprises, all of which I later sold for a profit. Over the years I have employed over 60 people in my business operations, and some of those people are still my friends, today. My Wife and I own our home, debt free, and we live well. JIM
Thank you Jim! And thumbs up for you for all you've accomplished. I started writing poems/verses using many essential tremor experiences in a humorous way. Had many published in chapbooks that were quickly bought. I had a E T webpage for writing more poems, but made the mistake of listening to some friends say I paid too much for the service. So I discontinued it, couldn't find a webpage service that provided all I needed so that ended anyone from clicking on and reading all those poems (in first webpage), plus putting in new poems. 🫤

Interesting and common sense mature conversations. We get tips from each other and enjoy sharing things from our past. Plus we don't think we know everything like young people who have basically been on the earth for 15 minutes. We have been there. It's more relaxing and down to earth.

Not long ago I watched City of God which is dubbed in English as I do not speak Portuguese .

The many friendships I've made over the years keep me coming back. Lots of interesting people and most have good hearts.

I enjoy my morning coffee and breakfast while reading what fellow SFers are up to, comment here and there, and to contribute to a few of the games.

Place I can conveniently experience sitting at home in front of my computer that will casually engage my mind in broadly social societal ways I would otherwise not. Thus an easy way to keep the pencil sharp as in Use It or Lose It.

Also swerves unintentionally, as a personal opinion/idea storage site I can always easily point any others I meet to holding say a smartphone, showing the way I think.

I like that people respond on here with likes and other symbols. Even if no one answers a post, that is nice, I think. A very nicely run forum and lots of entertaining members. Also, so many interesting topics, too. Thank you.
that's the best part of forums like this who have the like buttons.. it means as you say.. even if no-one has anything to add to the conversation, by using the like button then it shows the original Poster that at least their post is being read and acknowledged...
