Imus figured out that being provocative sells, he had to keep pushing the envelope,
having to find more scandalous events to keep his audience’ That’s was his stock in trade

,His audience tuned in to hear ‘ugly,’ he had to find more ‘ugly’ to keep up his ratings.

I did like to listen when he ripped the Clinton's; however, you need to realize he was a salesman, selling himself to his audience, not to be taken seriously.


Howard Stern was a sleaze merchant, selling filth. I had to listen to him for 45 minutes as I was a passenger in another person’s vehicle. He was disgusting! He is the good example the for reinstatement of the FCCa ‘

Both of these men were and remain sleaze merchants, you need to be aware of that if you listen to Howard Stern.
