China has some stunningly beautiful natural landscapes, but they may not count for much when, in other parts of the country, pollution runs totally unchecked.

These shocking photos show what severe pollution people have to deal with in some parts of China.Beijing and other parts of China have already become notorious for their incessant clouds of smog, which present very real health risks to these cities' and regions' residents.

Unregulated dumping in various rivers throughout China is fairly common, as many of the photos in this series help illustrate.Chinese leaders have vowed to get serious on air pollution, but change will be difficult in a country whose industry has expanded so rapidly.

See this is what Corporations want for US.. And what would happen if we didn't have those horrible regulations.. The GOP wants to do away with the EPA.. It too expensive for Corporations to do business here they say... So.... do we want this?
 
No problem with having a clean nation to live in. But, some of the regulations have been pointed out to be hurting us in various ways. Those are the ones being challenged. Not all of the program as some might think.
 
China is definitely one of the biggest destroyers of the earth. I have read so many horror stories about how China disposes of their raw materials and industrial waste. They have no limitations. Not to mention having no drug standards. For those buying supplements, stay clear of any products made outside the U.S. Think back to when we were getting contaminated pet food, baby food, dietary supplements and so on. That place is a train wreck when it comes to having health standards.
 
An absolute utopia for Corporations.. Yet we have those in power here that would bring the same standards to the USA.. This is why Corporations leave the US.. Still think we should do away with the EPA and our regulations?

Also ... remember when all those dogs died from eating pet treats made in China. They destroyed their kidneys with formaldehyde.
 
I've seen the pollution in China and Japan in pics before. Shameful!
As for the US? I have always thought this is why many corps. manufacture in other countries. Cost effective production in the US, to produce within EPA guidelines, is quite high. There must be some things they can do to eliminate contaminating our earth and waterways and still produce in a cost effective way. Surely we have the means.
Monsanto comes to my mind. In the US this giant corp is still at large and is protected by the EPA and gov.

I can't stand those who throw perfectly good stuff away without trying to recycle it, give it away or hold on to it for future use.

Trash is a big problem in the US. Recycling is great if you can get everyone on board with it. People in the US are shamefully wasteful however.
