Unfortunately, if you work for the Public Defender's Office, you may not have a choice. I'm not sure if they're allowed to pick-and-choose or if they have to defend who they are assigned.As an attorney, no one could pay me enough to represent this $%@&.
Exactly, but I worked for the PD office only a few years after coming home ftom working in Dallas. An attorney has to have a very valid reason for not accepting a case when working in the Public Defenders Office. Too many cases, going on vacation would be a few reasons that would relieve an attorney from the case.Unfortunately, if you work for the Public Defender's Office, you may not have a choice.
