Should Snowden be pardoned?

An effort is underway to do this on the heels of a movie about him. I still think he should stay in Russia or come back and go on trial...
 

Snowden once stated that people who leak classified information should be ' shot in the balls'. I wonder if he has volunteered for that? I think he should just stay in Russia.
 
Another thought is this.. if you are going to pardon him for intentionally leaking classified information then you open a door..

I have been imprisoned for refusing to enter a church that was not of my denomination, and for wearing my national emblem on my national saint's day.

I know about ideology.

You do what you feel you must, and live with the consequences.

He is, and was at the relevant time, a sentient adult (I, at least, was only 16!) and knew exactly what he was doing, and was fully aware of the consequences.

Laurie, how horrible for you. I am so sorry that happened to you, but what courage in someone so young!
 
What I really hope too, is that he never sees a dime of the profits from the movie about him.

Talk about poetic justice...
