I OFFER TO HELP OTHERS ALL THE TIME AND RARELY EVER REFUSED
Wow, at first read, I thought you were going to say that they weren't careful or gentle, and that therefore, items inside your bags were broken.I have asked people if they need help and there have been times I have been asked if I need help. I learned not to accept help in loading groceries into my car. There were young men gathering carts and offering seniors help. I got home missing items. Not sure whether this is just a bad employee or a scam. I still refuse help in the parking lot.
Even worse , I 've had them grab the handles of the wheelchair and push it. Terrible idea. I wish that more people would generally be taught that this is truly not helpful, to the person in it!I'm a white haired, old geezer in a wheelchair. And some try to be helpful. Most people ask to help. I'm grateful. Thank you. But I've run into the ones with a pathological urge to help me, whether or not I want it. I've had people grab bags out on my hand when I'm loading the trunk, without asking. Please ask.
That one reminded me of a couple of so-called-friends in my 20's.
Thanks for that one!![]()
