I don't ever believe that many of the sogns, pictured on the internet intending to be funny, were ever in the field that way. This one particularly looks as if it were manipulated on a computer. Look how wide the spacing is around the letter, "i".

Now I could see some kids turning letters around on signs. That would have been something my brothers would have done in a heart beat.
