In Central New York we had a popular supper club called The White Elephant.

Many cusiomers ask how the
White Elephant got its name In reality, it was named by the people of Canastota, and we are printing the story here.
When this establishment was opened for business in 1947 dubious townspeople callled it a “White Elephant” because they felt a place of this type was too much for our little village.

Love Canasota. Shopped there many times and my barber was there. Real close to a couple casinos we use to go too.
