Okay still on the job trail and over-qualified, under-qualified, bad credit, student default, friend references as opposed to " professional" references...for a diddling retail job. Funny is the more responsible the job the fewer initial questions. The real no brainer places want all your info upfront. We will pay you frickin' minimum wage with zero job security. Who were your employers for the last seven years plus detailed explanation for times unemployed. Now do a math test, now go to an interview cattle call...you're a great candidate...oh your credit is bad...best luck in your future endeavors...sucks to be you.
Yeah it can be pretty discouraging. Still spitting out applications and resumes every day though. Eventually someone somewhere will take a chance...But today something that gave me some faith. Besides having close to a hundred books on my Barnes n' Noble wish list. There's something I would do hitting Powerball. They'd have to back up a truck with all them books. But really it was wandering into a beauty supply store. My hair is naturally curly. What I need is a blow dryer, diffuser and almost an hour to make it behave.
Raccoon eyes? You can tell seniors who can't see so good anymore. If the eyeliner looks like magic marker you need a bi-focal mirror. I can still see well enough to do Joan Jett. And the polish colors and conditioners and look at that hair color AWESOME! Leaving this place I realized I'm not dead. Discouraged perhaps but the first paycheck and I could go back in there and tweak up this and that. Yes I will get through this...whole bunch more resumes out tonight in fact.
