Sitting at the kids' table for Thanksgiving.

When I was a kid, Thanksgiving was a big deal. There were about 30 guests. If you were a kid, you got stuck at the kids' table. Somehow adults seem not to notice there was a huge difference between a 4 year old ,and a nine year old. but we were all stuck at the kids' table, which was usually an old rickety card table with at least one broken leg. In my case, two card tables for all of us.. One about 6 inches higher than the other., but both were wobbly, and about to fall down.

....that's what sparks memories!!! ❤

Didn't really care where I sat as long as my plate was FULL.
When very young mom made my plate, but as I got older, Dad would throw stuff on there till it was heaping.
The ladies would retire outside and watch us kids while the men watched the football games on TV.
Just seem normal.

Our kid’s table was always the kitchen table.

It was an honor to be the adult moderator at the kid’s table.

I was banned.😉

Yup

Thanksgiving USA

I was the 4 year old

The older kids made me eat their cranberry sauce.......bastards

Oh, I remember the kid's table when I was growing up. My Brother was always at the adult table because he was 13yrs old when I was born. When I was 5yrs old he had his first child so then I remained at the kid's table for many years so I could feed the baby. If everyone was still alive I probably would still be at the kid's table.

Oh! ... the kid's table - the memories! .... Thanksgiving and Christmas

At our huge family holiday gatherings, there were maybe 25-30 adults, and so many kids. I had too many cousins to count.
Kids had our own large table that an aunt or two supervised so that food wasn't thrown all over, and no one was punching anyone ...lol
Such fun times .....
