Smartphone over Sex

the life of social media and phone connections are often fake ...... they can be the hero in their own story as they are creating it ......
i feel addiction to that is a mental illness...... i thought more would try it then snap out of it but alas so many cannot seem to break free. so afraid they are missing out they do not see anything right in front of them.

IMO these "studies" are horse manure because they ask inane questions to get such a silly outcome.

Me and a friend of mine at work had a funny conversation awhile back.

Co-Worker: "I don't own a cell phone...I don't drink or do drugs...don't smoke...and I don't have sex.

Me: "Hmm...you know who the last person was who was just like that?"

Co-Worker: "No. Who?"

Me: "HITLER!!"

After my parents were killed and I went to live with my Grandparents, they gave me a dog for that first Christmas. That dog took to me like a pig takes to slop. She would go everywhere I did. When I went to school, Grandma said she sits here and cries, but she soon got over that when she learned that I did come back. I had a single bed at first, but when the dog got bigger, they got me a bigger bed because they knew I wasn't going to let her lie on the floor all night alone. I would have laid on the floor with her.

I can't remember where my phone is. I used it sometime last month.
We finally found my wife's phone yesterday after spending four days looking for it. She had left it in the door of her car. There was quite a few missed calls and a couple of texts, one of which was from her older sister, it read: "Where the devil are you." My wife phoned her sister and said, "I do have a landline," Her sister never even gave the landline option a thought.

Yes our world is somewhat sick but it’s also ridiculously over populated and I don’t see anything wrong with couples wanting dogs instead of kids. Not everyone can have kids so why not have dogs instead?
They make excellent companions; are very loving and loyal beyond imagination. What business is it of ours anyway? People do what they believe is best for them and this is actually none of our business. I personally don’t see anything wrong with having dogs and not wanting sex. As long as people aren’t hurting themselves or any others, then it’s their business.

I would have liked to have a son and a daughter or 2 of each. Finding the right women has always been my problem. My niece told me I was to picky, but when you are in the military asking your fiancƩ to be a military wife, it's only fair to explain to them before wedlock what all is going to be involved. I moved several times and with having children also, that's asking a lot.

My cellphone [including two years service] was a retirement gift from friends . I still have it , carry it only for emergencies [so far not needed] YEAH !

Hitler never had a cellphone ?? ... I'm shocked !

But, doctor Morell used to shoot him up every morning with god only knows what.

And the Nazi troops damn near lived on Pervitin ... [the wonder drug] .....

I have a lap top but only a flip phone for emergencies. It's good to have. I do believe people are addicted to their cell phones.

Things like people marrying their dogs etc. takes away from importance of pets in many people's lives. It just makes a mockery of it.

Are there people, who are way into their phones and dogs? Of course, but there are some, who have always been way into things. It's not like we are just finding out people are weird. And if some are happy with their phones and dogs, who cares?
The dog is a living animal. We should treat them with respect because they love us and respect us. My dog is always by my side. If we are watching TV and I go to the kitchen or bathroom, she allows me about 3 minutes and and then she has to find me. Maybe she has Monophobia.

I have an iphone but leave it on the kitchen counter when I go shopping or for my daily walks outside. I don't miss it but I do enjoy saying "good morning" to other walkers that I meet on the street.

Rather than walking & starring at some smartphone, I enjoy looking at the various flowers that different homes have. I also watch out for traffic so they don't kill me. It would be a shame to die because my pension would stop.
