You deserve a viable reason to help you wade these waters
There is a NO POLITICS rule when you join here for good reason.
It can be too heated of a subject and cause ill will PLUS
we get so much of it outside of here, it's nice to have a haven away from it.
Some topics may begin to turn into that direction... always better to just
back out and let that thread die.
 
In this forum are people of the whole spectrum, from left to right. This is good, as I like controversial views.

But as already stated, it's not a forum on politics. There exist other forums for this purpose.

Well if you forbid politics and religion you definitely reduce arguments but I guess that would include current events and voting. Before long you are living an alternate reality. But hey we can talk about the weather and our health.

If someone told you that religion is forbidden, they were mistaken. Same with current events... we talk about that all the time. The "no politics" rule works here and it's the only topic that should be avoided, as stated in the Terms & Rules. (Link at bottom of every page.)

There is so much more in life as a senior, I have to say, this bunch can make a thoughtful, fun, serious or thought provoking subject
out of many things. People are very helpful too about the questions seniors have about living as senior.
 
If I have a political bone to pick I go to a different social media site and then spill the beans. I have been here about. 6 years, and have been banned for a few days because I lost my cool, and said bad things. ;) That's OK, I just will express myself in a way that won't offend others. That is not as easy as it sounds,

We all are human and do stupid things, but coming clean with the stupidity is very difficult. So, my suggestion to anyone wanting to score political points is to go somewhere else to do it...warning. :)
 
I remember in my early days from 2013 when I first joined SF and politics were allowed
Very often, it became down and dirty between some folks. It often got nasty and mean.

I never posted in that thread, or at least, I don’t think I did.
