So, Do You Have Enough Soap? :)

One of my worries lately was running out of soap to wash my hands. First I went online to try and get liquid soap and it was very expensive or not available. So, I got some cheap Irish Spring. It was not good for my hands. After I used it my hands were cracked. :cautious:

Then I ordered some liquid soap from Target and it smells good, it's lavender. It works okay. Then I needed more as I was running out. Got some softsoap liquid (a single small one) I haven't used yet but once when I used it before it did the job and seems my hands were okay with it. Not sure how it will fare in the long run, though.

After constant washing my hands got real dry and I decided to try to get some good moisturizing soap. I found some Dove bar soap at a reasonable price on Amazon. So, I have 14 bars I haven't used yet. :D Not sure when I'll try using it but may soon to see if it moisturizes my hands.

Meanwhile I went to CVS for some items I needed and found they had a large refill of softsoap containing aloe so I got that.

So, do you think I've got enough soap to last during these hand washing days? Do you have enough?:rolleyes::cool:;)

And yes, I now officially have Hand Washing OCD! :ROFLMAO: 🌺

Currently we have 14 bars of soap, two bottles of liquid hand-soap, and 5 bottles of liquid body-wash on hand.

We never use bar soap for washing our hands randomly, because the bar soap is used in the shower by myself and my husband to wash our faces, then tackle all else (neck-down) using liquid body-wash.

I have a phobia about germs and viruses left behind on bar soap, hence why we don't wash our hands with it. Also like the fact that with liquid hand-soap, we can use the backs of our hands to pump a little out of the bottle, without contaminating the plunger.

I think I've become a soap collector. I haven't gotten into any of the fancier hand made ones...yet..but may.. :D (y)
 
I have plenty. I have a container of liquid soap at kitchen and bathroom sinks. But actually, in a pinch, I have grabbed the dish soap to wash hands in the kitchen, and body wash in my bathroom. I do keep liquid soap in the guest bathroom..but since I do not have guests right now..there it sits.

LOL - using the backs of your hands on the soap plunger. If you're going to wash your hands, does it matter? :)
 
So last week I bought some foaming hand soap. It was an unfamiliar brand, but they had lots and lots of it. I bought it anyway, and I loved it! Smelled wonderful, foamed nicely, it was great. So I went back to the same store, and they were all out!! So I bought a big size of Dial anti-bacterial soap, one of the few they had left. Nice to know people are washing their hands, I guess.

Yes, it is good to know we all have clean hands now.. :ROFLMAO: 💗
 
I make my own soap. I use a 4 oil formula that works well every time I've used it and I've got about 10 lbs of it cut into bars and stored away.....lavender scented. I also have about 1 doz. bars of commercial antibacterial soap and maybe the same amount of "Lava" brand abrasive type soap for really dirty hands.
I stocked up on liquid hand soap before it sold out. I won't need any more for 6 months, maybe longer.

Wow, you make soap..that's so cool. Sounds like it smells really good, too. I say you never can have too much soap considering the world we live in.

Lava is great for dirty, oily hands.
 
Haven’t heard of or used Lava in years but from childhood into my 30’s it was always there beside a bar of gentler soap. Lots of mechanics in the household, and do it myself jobs in those days. Have one of those instant foaming liquid soaps from BBW, some type of liquid& about 6 cakes of yardley lavender that I use to freshen various drawers. Probably going to buy another bottle of liquid soon, & an actual soap dish in case I want to use the Yardley.

Yes, soap can also freshen things up in drawers and closets. The Irish Spring soap was too strong for my hands so I put it in the closet to keep my clothes smelling fresh.
 
Take any dish detergent soap that is advertised as easy on the hands and mix it 50-50 with water. Use a dispenser for a liquid soap. Baby products are usually gentle. I use baby shampoo for my hair. Does not sting in the eyes. I have to keep the lids clean. Optometrist recommended it.
