So many one hit wonders over the years

Nancy Sinatra married singer/actor Tommy Sands, who had reached #3 in the US in 1957 with a song called "Teen-Age Crush".
The pair would split in 1965, after which Sands would recall, "The doors to Hollywood seemed to slam shut after the divorce from Nancy.
I couldn't get acting roles, my singing career on TV and in films was over."

Charlie Daniels Band - The Devil Went Down to Georgia 1979

"Devil Comes Back to Georgia"

In the sequel song, the Devil returns to Georgia ten years after his first encounter with Johnny.
Following his defeat at the hands of Johnny, the humiliation that the Devil feels festers.
Due to this, the Devil creates a plan to challenge Johnny once again, and to earn back his title as the best fiddle player.

Johnny, now an older married man with a wife and kids, says he hasn't played fiddle since his child came, but accepts the devil's deal and begins to tune the golden fiddle.
The Devil then takes back his fiddle, declaring himself the "fiddle player underground who walks along the land" before playing his part of the challenge.

After this, the Devil would taunt Johnny, saying he needs more practice to prove he truly is the best.
Johnny would then go to an old woodshed to practice his fiddle skills, with the threat of his soul being claimed by the Devil looming over him.
After his practice, he would thank the Devil for "letting God's own word ring true," as he knew the Devil was trying to claim his soul.
Johnny would then turn the tables and taunt the Devil before playing his part of the challenge. After defeating the Devil a second time, the Devil leaves Johnny with both his soul and the golden fiddle, for he knows that Johnny is "the best that's ever been."
