So What Are You Looking Forward To Today?

Oh I go to the supermarket, masked up etc.. it's all set up to keep people six feet apart at the checkouts etc. with trolley and hand disinfectants at the door, so it's quite safe .. If I didn't go to the supermarkets I'd go stark raving mad because nothing else is open...
So now Drakeford has said that Wales will not return to normal this year because of the inevitable third wave of Covid.
The anger this has generated on the Wales Online comments section is unbelievable. With many-like me -questioning why anyone should bother being vaccinated if it does not mean living normally.
He essentially accused Boris of living in cloud cuckoo land.
And more and more people are making it perfectly clear they are not going to be following the rules.
As I keep saying no one is going to accept living under restrictions once England is back to normal and if he thinks he is going to stop me going there for cricket, rugby or concerts then he is deluded.
With his comments last night he has sealed his fate at the election.Oops-Politics.
Unfortunately I remain at his mercy. My rugby team cannot play until he says so.I cannot attend Welsh sport until he says so.I cannot attend a concert in Wales until he says so.
And after suggesting Welsh shops could open this coming Monday he has apparently decided they can’t.
But I can have a haircut from next week-in a small barbers with poor ventilation. But I can’t sit outdoors in a small crowd in a vast stadium.Nothing makes sense anymore.
Angry-I sure am.
This really is about control.
And I am now seriously considering not getting vaccinated tomorrow. What is the point when it is not going to change anything?
Be glad you do not live in Wales.
I wish I didn’t

I'm very glad I don't live in Wales, at least under the jurisdiction of Drakeford... many people who had intended to retire to Wales will be watching this with interest.

I cannot believe he's allowed to change the opening dates of the shops at the 11th hour like this when there's been no upsurge in the numbers of C-19 patients.. or has there?..I haven't read of any

I'd be mad as hell in your shoes, as I will be if BJ pulls the same stunt when it's our turn to re-open as he did in December .. in fact it's one of the things which is holding me back from being vaccinated despite having several calls from my surgery..that I may be putting this chemical into my body which we know so little about, only to discover we're still going to be locked down for a long time to come.. a year already.. and it's probably been the longest year of my life.. ...and I agree in this country particularly Wales it is for sure about Control... well I hope Drakeford enjoys his last 5 minutes of fame..

Chin up.. Furry..if all else fails there's always Scotland.... oh wait....

Update...
he has now said we must ‘stay local’ for the next two weeks and from March 27th we can travelanywhere.
self catering accommodation will be open for Easter but only for people with Welsh addresses. And shops will open when they do in England.
But still no news of community rugby-returning in England -crowds at sport or the reopening of concert venues.
i think he’s either done this because of the backlash or he is deliberately painting a worst case scenario to make what he does give sound better than it is..and this is straying close to breaking site politics rules :)

Nothing much happening here today or any other day really, luckily I’m a home body and don’t mind staying home. After my short walk around the neighbourhood which includes a steepish hill, my tapestry, Netflix, a good book and the forum fill my day up pretty well. ‘Mum you are so boring’ my kids tell me, but I don’t mind a bit. :)

Looking forward to getting two Easter baskets ready to be mailed ASAP for the g-nieces. I went out earlier to look for Easter books but did not find any.

I hate the fact that I am missing out on their growing years. My sister made it quite clear that they'd rather not have any visitors ~ just yet. 🥲 The pandemic is still going wild.

Planning a nice trip for June. Graduation party.

Busy last 2 days....so looking forward to relaxing my mind! and kicking back and watching TV.
Hoping to stay awake for Dateline.

And I'm hoping there is something good on Netflix till 9:00, when Dateline comes on.
I can't seem to find anything to get interested in on Netflix--Dateline is usually pretty good.
