Fine... but, the fact remains that the bulk of the energy produced here comes from "fossil fuels" (I hate that term). 60.8% on that chart.
Might add this. What type of energy is used to manufacture these "greenies"? You know, the plastic, metal, components and all the other parts that make up a vehicle. Could it be that evil "fossil fuel"? Which, since it is produced by nature decomposing all carbon based material, is the most renewable source of energy on the planet. smh.
Let's not forget the extra weight that the batteries place on the vehicles tire's resulting in more wear, (wait, what is used to manufacture tire's?) and the wear on the roads, (which by the way will result in an extra road tax fee).
All this of course is avoiding the extra expenses of
1... the purchase price.
2... the outrageous price of installing a quick charger in your home.
3... the fact that they have been prone to bursting into flames. (cannot be extinguished like a conventional fire).
and on and on.
Therefore, the point is still the same. EV numbers don't add up.
