I haven't ever thought that marijuana is the innocent drug that many like to believe. Marijuana is a psychoactive drug & has bad effects for the users, but the people who are making money by the legalization don't want that known.
The human brain continues to develop until the age of 25. Issues from early use includes cognitive problems, reduced coordintion/reaction time, relationship issues, poor judgement, school/work performance issues along with increased risk of depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts or even psychotic breakdowns. How many under 25 are using it thinking it's not doing any harm to them until they it's too late & the problems they have won't go away?
I wonder if the original plant even exists today since there has been so much genetic modification to enhance it for high THC content.
Anyway, if smoking cigarettes is bad for you & the second hand smoke from those is bad as well for everyone else around you, why would marijuana be any different.
Comparing weed to alcohol is like comparing apples to oranges, IMO. However, there is no excuse to drink to the point that you are unable to care for your kids either.
For anyone interested, the book Tell Your Children by Alex Berenson is a good read.
