Some states are safer than others in a nuclear attack map

Outside of the sheer devastation and radiation to a large part of the planet, I can't see anything but the collapse of civilization through out the globe. We are too integrated to function without that integration. I guess in a decade, most humans would have perished from famine and rampant disease. I doubt there would be functioning cities left, only small warring tribal clans.
