Something I do not understand about 72 hour anti-perspirant

How can this be true.
Surely for such a claim to be valid, one would not be able to shower for 3 days?
I shower daily, washing underarms obviously.
So this is a false claim?

there are certainly people who through disablity or great age who are unable to shower every day....

However a friend bought me one as a joke... and now I only shower every 3 days...I think his joke has backfired on him...

I use 72 hour deodorant and it actually works great. I use it every second day and now shower every second day.

I use deodorant every day but am amazed at these new trendy creams advertised on tv and social media. They make it seem like everyone is funky everywhere. Maybe it's because they only use 72 hour deodorant.

I've seen commercials advertising deodorant that works on armpits, butt cracks and lady bits (I don't remember the term they used.
Their descriptions are a bit bold in my opinion, but I guess it gets the point across.

I can remember my mother's dresses having them inserted. Those and talcum powder seemed to deal with the problem, without causing a danger to health.

It is amazing that so many jumped on board this marketing BS.

Maybe a few people are that funky IDK but if i smelled from all over i might at very least see a health care person as that may be a sign of some bigger issue. Or perhaps they person died and is decomposing..... maybe that is why they fear smelling like the Walking Dead.

talcum powder causes cancer to wome's body parts due to asbestos ad also if inhaled,, to lungs.

If you're not digging ditches all day long, you might be able to go three days, without a shower, odor free. I think those 3 day deodorants work more in the minds of the wearers than in reality.

Plus, I despise that gynecologist and her lousy, incessant deodorant goop ads.

I don't use deodorant except on very hot summer days. I bathe every day and wear clean clothes. I want to smell just naturally clean and I don't trust the chemicals in those things.

I don't use any of them, a lot of them have chemicals I don't want near me, and lots of them like the "Axe" brand, I can't even breath after taking a sniff of them...i also shower morning and night, with LOTS of hot water for my aches and pains...I also only use goat milk soap...Never been complained about my scent...

Same here. She has young people believing her product is better than plain old soap and water.

I never noticed it. I see a man's deodorant in the store and I buy it. Usually the spray or the stick. I haven't bought a roll on in years. I don't care about 72 or 48 hours claims since I shower/wash up daily.

I haven’t used deodorant since I stopped working.

I’m not sure it was ever necessary but it probably helped with some basic insecurities on my part.

The sad truth is that nobody has taken any interest in getting close enough to give me a good sniff in many, many, years.
