Something to be said about this.

A lot of truth to this picture. Every year going down I-95, on way to Florida, you see these rented trucks loaded to the hilt. A lot of these trucks are in poor condition and drivers have the peddle to the metal. Some are pulling their cars and the car trailer is doing the hula all the way down. Best to get around them as quick as possible.

I'm always extra careful around these trucks, I know the people driving them rarely have any experience with big vehicles like that.

I used to work as a U-Haul mechanic, and let me tell you something: the majority of the trucks I worked on were on their last legs. Some had over 500,000 miles on them, multiple accidents, under-maintained and with cheap, non-authorized replacement parts on them.

There were times I had to transfer a truck from PA to NY or MD, and it was usually one of the bigger 24' or 26'. They handled like a bull on ice skates and took hours to climb the smallest hill, all the while with smoke coming out the back and the suspension moaning and groaning.

It's VERY different driving these things, especially if you've never pulled a trailer before.
