Well at least I don't have to worry about that. My family is not online on social media at all. And also when I post online on FB, I'm not using my real name so they would never find me online. And then on top of that, what I do post, they would agree with.Another thing I think about is that someday I may die and my family might be reading my online postings.
How do I want to be remembered?
I was participating with two other photographers as a single persona on a site where we left comments in discussions, as well. Wow. Did that ever get mixed up. The single person we represented us to be sounded like the 3 Faces of Eve. One would leave a nasty remark towards someone. Then another of us would get a nasty remark back. And, he'd have to track back in the conversation to learn what that nasty remark referred to. Then leave his. And, the third of us would catch loads of flack by others who thought they were speaking to the 'others' of our persona.I’ve seen posts from members who’ve forgotten what member they were trying to portray and messed up big time.
Thats some messed up stuff. Thats the thing when online - there’s a lot of people who like playing games, maybe thinking they are creating a more interesting site. Who knows why they do it. Trying to figure out why is a total waste of time.I was participating with two other photographers as a single persona on a site where we left comments in discussions, as well. Wow. At first it was quite entertaining, but later got very complicated. We tried to order and organize our triad. But, working from different computers in different locations made that impossible.
So true. Some years ago, a Senior Forums member . . . I believe it may have been dear @Aunt Bea . . . offered the quote: "You don't have to attend every argument you're invited to."
Serious wisdom there.![]()
