Sometimes when I am stuck with no ideas

Someone told me my homemade dog food is good for humans too. I've never tried it but my husband has and since it's always in our refrigerator in a Tupperware container, why not? Its the perfect meal for a husband when the wife isn't hungry and neither of them want to cook.

1 pound of fried hamburger or ground Turkey
A cup or 2 of cooked brown rice
Spinach. We thaw a bag of frozen and then squeeze it good. (Or green beans or peas if your dog likes them)
1 can of pumpkin (Don't accidentally grab the can with spices in it) or a cooked yam.
A box of Bone Broth (Sometimes my husband has a cup of this without anything else)
2 eggs. I put the eggs in towards the last.

This is easy because you only need to make it once a week. I usually simmer it quite awhile so the rice (some people use oatmeal or potatoes instead of rice) and other ingredients will absorb the Bone Broth.

Cabbage and noodles, which is basically a dish with two ingredients.

Chop up some cabbage, any amount you want. Saute in butter. Throw in some chopped onions also if you like.

Meanwhile, cook wide noodles. When ready, add them to the cabbage mixture to get them coated with butter. Make sure it's good and hot, then enjoy.

This recipe came from my Hungarian grandmother, and is absolutely delicious!

I have often made a quick supper of browned ground beef, rice and various vegetables.

Me, too. Also with leftover chicken, using chicken broth for the liquid for the rice. I use brown rice, and whatever vegetables I have on hand. Actually whether made with either ground beef or rice it makes a pretty good supper.
