There is never a 'right' way to abuse a child.
Janice, I was just about to say the same thing. And Michael, there is nothing creepier than a parent physically abusing a child with "self-control, consistency, and love."
Much as I despise the idea of parents smacking children, I would consider doing it out of anger to be much more normal and understandable than doing it calmly, out of "love." What a great way for a parent to get their child to hate them. They will never forget those "loving" beatings.
