It's likely that they have a monopoly deal in your area. I've heard mostly bad customer sentiment with Spectrum, although most telecom/ media providers are ruthless gougers. This company is so outrageous, why are they allowed to keep getting away with bleeding us dry?
You are royally screwed...that should be Spectrum's marketing catchphrase. At least people will know upfront what they're getting into!I don't mean to sound heartless but I believe this is called "Free Enterprise." Your company loves money (forget the B.S. about "Our Customers Come First). It's your money in their bank that comes first. Of course, you can and should cancel your subscription if there are other and cheaper providers. If you have no where else to turn to, then I must say that you are "royally screwed."
If you get fiber installed in your area, go for it. Our local electric Co-op installed fiber a couple of years ago, and we signed up...it is Great. Our Internet (100MB), landline phone, and TV(200 channels) is about $150/Mo., and the service/reception is the best we've ever had.You are royally screwed...that should be Spectrum's marketing catchphrase. At least people will know upfront what they're getting into!
I have no other cable services around here unfortunately. There's a fiber optic company starting to install in our town and they are cheaper than Spectrum, so when I get the chance, Spectrum will be "royally" dumped!
