Spring Time - Who else is ready?

I started to see some signs a month ago with the appearance of robins in the area. For the past few days, they've been singing in the yard. Last week I seen buzzards along the interstate who usually arrive until mid-March. Yesterday, I seen the crocus pop up in my flower beds.

The vernal equinox isn't until March 20th, but the meteorological spring started on the 1st. I know the weather will be going up & down for a bit, but I'm ready to celebrate the coming of spring.

If your ready for spring, post your thoughts & pics here.

I am not ready for it as Summers here are brutal and yes I enjoy complaining but today it's 80 which is nice but high 90s / 100 which has become norm last 2 Summers is not nice and I like to garden .

However brutal Winters like most of you had I don't like .

Again I'm going to complain either way but Spring here is beginning of serious heat and HUMIDITY .

Yeah, summers here are brutal, too. But it's not summer yet, and I'm gonna enjoy every daylight minute until then, even pollen season, which is already upon us. By the time the summer heat is here, the garden will be planted and blooming, and I can sit on my patio under the shade of a very large umbrella and admire it.

And yes, I expect to complain about the heat...

This is the season of hope — that ...
The sun is brightly shining in the bedrooms earlier & earlier and brighter & brighter. That has always been the first hint of spring! From late October through February, the bedrooms never have direct sun. When I first see a sliver come through I rejoice!

Given current era online weather sites during this rather stormy period, see Saturday March 8, 2025 forecasts as the next sunny day with mild breezes necessary for outdoor focus stacking photography of landscapes with otherwise wind blurring moving vegetation and trees. So expect to drive 80 miles south to a favorite Coastal Range natural area that ought be vibrant green with rising spring wildflowers I will be working with my Sony a6700 camera system. Otherwise will be snow fresh powder skiing maybe next Thursday during a large storm.

We're having glorious sunny days , but still frosty nights... temps today were 55 deg..last night was -1....

the daffodils are out in the woods behind my house

I’m completely ready for spring. I’ve never been so anxious for winter to leave as I have this year. Our sunroom gets a lot more sun during spring and summer. All the ice on the ocean has to melt. At the moment the ice is so thick that people are ice fishing.

There’s really no signs of spring so no spring like photos. Sorry.

That's the spirit and as you know Georgia is as of now poised to be the in vogue retirement state bypassing Florida so yes complaining is what we do best here in Florida , well at least I do .

''In 2021, Florida ranked #2 and was slightly bested by Georgia. In 2022''

Florida is no longer the best place to retire in the United States

My man used to go ice fishing but hasn’t gone since being here. I don’t mind fishing but it’s not something I crave doing. I hate killing anything and that part of fishing isn’t something I like doing. Neither of us drink so there’s no partying. Now I sound boring. lol
